Chocolate Dipped Peeps Recipe

chocolate dipped peeps recipe   My children love peeps. I found a way to make them even yummier. At Christmas and often even Easter I buy chocolate covered marshmallows to put in their stockings or Easter baskets. When I was looking at the peeps I was like why not dip those in chocolate? Who doesn’t love chocolate covered peeps? Here’s the recipe and it was so easy to do!

  1. 2 cups chocolate chips (I like semisweet)
  2. 16 peeps
  3. sticks (optional)
  1. Heat chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl or pyrex in microwave 1-2 minutes (microwave times vary). Stir and check every 30 seconds so it doesn’t burn. As soon as the chocolate is smooth it’s ready and you’ll only know that by stirring. Dip marshmallows in chocolate, put on plate, repeat dipping all marshmallows. Put in freezer for 20 minutes pull out and let sit 5 minutes then eat.
This is such an easy fun treat for the kids. So easy and not very expensive at all. I loved it as well as the kids did. I plan on making more this weekend and putting them in plastic wrap to put in their Easter Baskets. Such a simple treat that is fun for even the kids to do. My kids have made this on their own as well.  I love recipes that use ingredients I already have in my kitchen. What other items do you include in their Easter basket?
