Black Friday

Listen folks, I’m here to tell you that you can save yourself hundreds of dollars this Black Friday when you know how to shop smart! Read the following tips carefully and execute quickly:

• Price Match – If heading out to the stores price match as much as you possibly can. This will allow you to get the sales that other stores are offering, but, also allowing you to make the purchase of bigger ticket items such as laptops, cameras, gaming systems and televisions.

• Start Early – Many online retailers such as Amazon.com, JcPenney.com, BestBuy.com Target.com and Walmart.com all start their sales on Thanksgiving Day. While your bird is in the oven jump on the computer first thing in the morning to begin snagging the best deals of the year!

• Purchase Big Ticket Items – Stay with stores like Sears and Home Depot for the best prices on appliances. You can expect to save hundreds of dollars off washer and dryer sets! In addition, you can expect to save big in the electronic department. If a new camera, GPS System, gaming system or television is on your list you’ll see great discounts.

• Sign Up for Emails – Head to your favorite retailers and sign up for their email notifications. Stores like Kohl’s, JcPenney’s, Target and Walmart will send you ways to save. Whether it’s a in store coupon at Kohl’s or free shipping offers from Target.com and Walmart.com it’s all about the savings! You may want to consider setting up a email for these types of offers.

• Skip the Toys – If you are planning on purchasing toys this Black Friday you may want to skip it. Unless it’s a must have Hot Toy of the season, you’ll receive deeper discounts on toys after Black Friday. It’s simply not worth saving $2 on a toy to hit the stores!

• Stay Home – Shop from the comfort of your home! Majority of the items that you see advertised in the ads will be available online on Thanksgiving Day. That’s why you should Start Early and shop smart.

• Get Your Price Difference – One of the greatest policies a store can have is getting a Price Difference. The majority of stores allow you to make purchases up to two weeks in advance. You simply bring in your original store receipt for the Price Difference and everyone wins. Be sure to ask your store if they offer the Price Difference on Black Friday items, especially Door Bust items.
